چکیده

In this talk, we introduce a new scenario of grand unified theory (GUT) with anomalous U(1)A gauge symmetry. Since generic interactions (including non-renormalizable interactions) are introduced, once we fix the symmetry of the theory, we can define the theory without O(1) coefficients. The number of parameters to determine the symmetry is just 11 or 12 integer parameters which are anomalous U(1)A charges(integer) for introduced multiplets. It is surprising that the GUT scenario can explain doublet-triplet splitting, quark and lepton masses and mixing angles. In neutrino sector, the scenario realizes LMA solution for solar neutrino problem and large Ue3 = O(0.1). Moreover, the scenario predicts that the unification scale becomes smaller than the usual GUT scale, namely proton decay via dimension 6 operators may be seen in future experiments. This talk is based on the papers [1]-[5]. e-mail: [email protected] 5: Grand Unification 1277

Neutrino masses , anomalous U ( 1 ) gauge symmetry and doublet - triplet splitting

We propose an attractive scenario of grand unified theories in which doublet-triplet splitting is beautifully realized in SO(10) unification using Dimopoulos-Wilczek mechanism. The anomalous U(1)A gauge symmetry plays essential roles in the doublet-triplet splitting mechanism. It is interesting that the anomalous U(1)A charges determine the unification scale and mass spectrum of additional part...

Grand - Unification Scale Generation through the Anomalous U ( 1 ) Breaking

We discuss the anomalous U(1) gauge symmetry as a mechanism of generating the grand-unification scale. We conclude that unification to a simple group cannot be realized unless some parameters are “tuned”, and that models with product gauge groups are preferred. We consider the “R-invariant natural unification” model with gauge groups SU(5)GUT×U(3)H . In this model the doublet-triplet splitting ...

Gauge Coupling Unification with Anomalous U ( 1 ) A Gauge Symmetry

Recently we proposed a natural scenario of grand unified theories with anomalous U(1)A gauge symmetry, in which doublet-triplet splitting is realized in SO(10) unification using Dimopoulos-Wilczek mechanism and realistic quark and lepton mass matrices can be obtained in a simple way. The scenario has an additional remarkable feature that the symmetry breaking scale and the mass spectrum of supe...

Anomalous U(1) GUT

We have proposed a very attractive scenario of Grand Unified Theories (GUTs). It employs the supersymmetry (SUSY) and an anomalous U(1) symmetry whose anomaly is canceled via the Green-Schwarz mechanism. In this scenario, the doublet-triplet splitting problem is solved and the success of the gauge coupling unification in the minimal SU(5) GUT is naturally explained with sufficiently stable nucl...

Grand Unification with Anomalous U(1) Symmetry and Non-abelian Horizontal Symmetry

Non-abelian horizontal symmetry has been considered to solve potentially SUSY flavor problem, but simple models are suffering from various problems. In this talk, we point out that (anomalous) U(1)A gauge symmetry solves all the problems in a natural way, especially, in the E6 grand unified theories. Combining the GUT scenario with anomalous U(1)A gauge symmetry, in which doublet-triplet splitt...
